The Prelude Petit is the smallest member of the Prelude collection which makes it perfectly suitable for both men and women. 'Those who do not honour small things, are not worthy of great things' as the saying goes. It is a direct result of the very first watch that Yvo Staudt designed during his studies at an Italian Conservatoire. His design needed to meet three criteria: a blue dial, top quality and understated. This adventure, stemming from an attempt to escape loneliness, resulted in the foundation of Staudt; our Prelude collection.

Stainless steel watch case with a diameter of 37mm and a thickness of 9.6mm.
Stainless steel leaf hands, highly polished. When the dial color is ivory the hands are blued by using heat.
Genuine alligator leather watch strap. Made by hand in Italy.

Specifications
The Prelude Petit is a mechanical watch that displays the time in hours, minutes and seconds. Its case measures 37mm in diameter and is made from high-quality stainless steel. The watch is water resistant up to three bar and a domed sapphire crystal with a double anti-reflective coating provides a crystal-clear view of the characteristic two-tone dial. The elegant, leaf-shaped hands are also made from steel and are hand polished. The automatic movement has a power reserve of 42 hours and is visible through the case back. The handmade alligator leather watchstrap with folding clasp ensures the watch fits elegantly around your wrist.

The beating heart of the Prelude Petit
The Prelude Petit has an automatic Swiss mechanical movement, powered by the rotation of your wrist. When the spring is fully wound, the watch has a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement is finished in perlage and the screws are blued by heat. In total, the movement contains 25 jewels. The rotor has a circular Côtes de Genève-finish and is coated with 18-carat rose gold. The Staudt crest is displayed with pride on the movement’s rotor.

Handcrafted in Italy
Our straps are made with love. In a small atelier in the northern part of Italy our straps are made by hand from the finest hides. Every piece of leather is vegetable tanned and is CITES-certificated. Our timepieces are standard fitted with an alligator leather strap, but you can also choose for other types of leather.
Staudt Blue
The colour of the outer ring of the dials in our Prelude collection are built in 12 layers. Therefor we use a century old lithography machine, to make Staudt blue. The outer ring of the dial is spray painted by hand.
Packaging can be theater
Getting yourself a mechanical timepiece one of the most precious gifts. So we did our utter best to make the unboxing of it a real spectacle. Will you buy your second Staudt timepiece? It's even possible to transfer your watch box into a collectors box by interchanging the tray. Learn more...
